The "Deccan Odyssey" was built in 2004 and has been completely overhauled and updated in 2023. Today it can be considered one of the top 10 luxury trains in the world.

The train consists of 21 cars. All guest cabins have a private en-suite bathroom, with sink, shower and toilet in the cabin.

There are 3 categories of cabins on this train:

Deluxe Double Category with 2 single beds: The size of the beds is 85 x 205 cm. The size of the cabin is 9 square meters and it has an en-suite bathroom.

The train has 31 cabins of this type.

Deluxe Double Category with 1 double bed: The size of the bed is 150 x 205 cm. The size of the cabin is 9 square meters and it has an en-suite bathroom.

The train has 5 cabins of this type.

Each Deluxe stateroom features a private bathroom with sink, toilet and separate shower.

There are only 4 luxury cabins in each car.

Suite: with 1 double bed and 1 sofa bed. The size of the bed is 150 x 205 cm. The size of the cabin is 19 square meters. It has 2 en-suite bathrooms.

The suites consist of a master bedroom with a large double bed, a living room with a desk, a sofa and two bathrooms.

There are only 2 suites in each car. In total, there are only 4 suites in the entire train.

The total number of guest cabins is 40.

All cabins are fully air-conditioned and equipped with a safe.

Personal butler service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

You will find complimentary tea, coffee and mineral water in the cabin.
